TEC #5 went to North Carolina Trans. Museum at Spencer still in full later TEC white/yellow stripe livery as TEC #5, but inoperable early in 1979. NCTM painted TEC #5 and renumbered it to SAL 1415 in full SAL yard engine black/red livery by 1989. The number 1415 was 1 digit above the highest numbered SAL VO1000 and "SAL 1415" was on display at NCTM Spencer for over 10 years until sold to the Western Maryland Roundhouse Museum group in Hagerstown MD who restored it to WM livery and restored its original WM number 132. -- Bob Graham
