  • A - The Tennessee Central Railway ceased operations on August 31, 1968; property and equipment sold to adjacent railroads: IC, L&N and Southern.
  • B - 256-258 were apparently never on IC's active roster, omitted by both sources 2 and 3; but Source 3 also states the former Peabody RS-2s as well as several other older IC units.
